The Analox Group, based in Stokesley, has been named Best Global Gas Sensing Products Manufacturer, In receiving the Northern Enterprise Award, officials from the Analox Group said the Award recognizes the hard work, dedication and commitment to excellence exhibited by Analox Team members over the past 12 months.
According to award officials, the Northern Enterprise Awards represent the innovative, driven and pioneering businesses based in the North of England. The pandemic has hindered many businesses and industries and continues to do so as we move forward, but the business sectors in Northern England have displayed a solid sense of resilience and have continued to go from strength to strength. The Analox Group was singled out and won the award for the company’s innovations and exceptional teamwork during the previous year.
While working remotely during most of 2021, the Analox Team continued to press forward with numerous product innovations and gas analysis products that are used not just in England and Europe, but throughout the entire world. The company’s state of the art gas monitoring products are used in multiple industries including food and beverage/hospitality, medical research, aerospace, environmental, military and agriculture.
In addition, Analox technology is currently in use miles under the ocean aboard a variety of military submarines, on the surface keeping sailors safe and even in the outer reaches of space aboard the International Space Station and numerous “space tourism” initiatives.
According to Becca Dodds, Group Business Development Manager for Analox, “This award is a direct result of the teamwork and cooperative spirit of the Analox team. It starts at the top and involves every Analox Team member. The industries that we serve and the technologies that we continue to pioneer are always changing and evolving. That reality means that we have to all work together to put our customer’s needs first and partner to bring out the best in everyone. When this happens, stunning achievements are the result.”
Dodds said 2021 was the most successful year in the history of the Analox Group. The company’s role as a leading SME firm in the North was cemented by the announcement in March of a groundbreaking agreement between Analox and the Ministry of Defense (MOD) for the manufacturing and in service support of sophisticated submarine atmosphere monitoring systems. The contract, 10-years in the making, is valued at more than £13.9M and is the largest contract in Analox history.
“The FAMS (Fixed Atmosphere Monitoring System) will use pioneering technology to solve the gas sensing challenges onboard a submarine, to ensure the safety of those protecting our shores,” Dodds explained. “This world class system will use state of the art sensors, offering real time analysis to the crew, enabling them to react quickly to take action to make the atmosphere safe. Under the contract, Analox will be delivering one of the most sophisticated submarine atmosphere monitors in the world.”
Over the next five years, the MOD contract will bring a substantial number of new jobs and opportunities to the region. Analox engineers are always working to enhance the gas sensing and detection technology that has made the Analox Group a premier choice for analytical and monitoring tools throughout the world.
The Analox Group celebrated its 40th anniversary in 2021. Since the company’s start, it has moved from a company focussed on commercial diving, to an international leader in gas analysis, detection and safety.
