Local business thriving at coventry’s flexible workspace

Coventry-based health and fitness expert, Lee Stuart, is embarking on a brand new business venture, Primal Health and Fitness, becoming the latest in a line of local start-ups to occupy FigFlex Offices at Friars House.

The announcement comes during FigFlex’s Small Business Week, a nationwide campaign to champion small businesses, which will run from the 3rd to the 6th May and will see FigFlex work in partnership with its resident small businesses to promote the ways in which they operate and their journeys to success.

Coinciding with FigFlex’s Small Business Week, Lee is launching Primal Health and Fitness, a rebrand of his previous business, Project RapidFit, a live-streaming enterprise designed to give people access to virtual classes to support fitness and mental wellbeing.

Based from FigFlex Coventry at Friars House Lee’s new venture is set to build on the success of Project RapidFit and will be run from one of FigFlex’s serviced offices.

Primal Health and Fitness will offer fitness programmes aligned to the lifestyle of primal man with services including classes, guidance and the development of an app to improve accessibility for those looking for convenient access to fitness support.

Lee commented: “I have worked in fitness for 12 years having retired from the Royal Marines in 2010. Like so many, the pandemic hit my industry hard and businesses have had to evolve and adapt to ensure their services remain accessible to customers. To take my business to the next level I needed much more than just an office to base myself from. FigFlex offers a professional space with business support and the added advantage of flexibility so that I can easily expand my office space as my business grows.

“You need to be in a positive environment; if you’re going to be successful, you’ve got to be in the right place to achieve your goals. FigFlex at Friars House is a professional and energised environment and the team there are so helpful and accommodating. My business is small and I work a lot on my own but at FigFlex I feel like I have a team around me. They make me feel inspired and that makes a huge difference when we are all trying to balance our post-pandemic home and working lives.”

FigFlex Coventry launched in May 2021 and offers local businesses a friendlier, convenient and more flexible approach to office-based working with additional business support for its members.

Young, growing businesses based at FigFlex Coventry can benefit from the advice of an in-house business development specialist who can offer wider support through free business development sessions or guidance to navigate the world of business grants.

Throughout its week-long Small Business Week campaign, FigFlex will be working closely with local small businesses to raise awareness of the benefits of flexible office space and the added advantages of the in-house services FigFlex provides.

Businesses will also be able to visit FigFlex at Friars House in Coventry at the centre’s open day on Thursday May 5th, with a chance to meet the team and find out about the flexible arrangements available to small businesses in Coventry.

A spokesperson for FigFlex commented: “FigFlex Coventry launched last summer as the first of three locations in the UK and the first in the West Midlands. We developed our reimagined serviced office concept after extensive research and customer listening to understand the needs of local businesses, particularly in a post-pandemic world. Our emphasis is on providing flexible space that is better suited to evolving work habits but it is also extremely rewarding to see the difference our support team is making to Lee as he embarks on his new business.

“We are very proud to be working alongside small businesses during our Small Business Week, a chance not only to promote the benefits of flexible office space but also a great time to hear from them how we can support their growth through our services.”

Inclusive packages at FigFlex include superfast business-dedicated broadband, private and secure office spaces, bookable meeting rooms with ClickShare technology, as well as breakout and coworking spaces.

FigFlex is the dedicated serviced office provider of FI Real Estate Management (FIREM). Together, the businesses are able to provide clients with access to over 40 years’ industry experience and a wealth of wider business development and property knowledge.
